Former CISA director Chris Krebs, who was fired by Trump in 2020 after declaring the election results secure, was among those dismissed from CSRB. The board had been investigating major Chinese cyber attacks, including the Microsoft email breach in summer 2023. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Green stated that the new administration should have the opportunity to decide the future of the Board.
