Google's parent company Alphabet (GOOGL.O) is in advanced negotiations to acquire Israeli cybersecurity firm Wiz for over $30 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter. This is expected to be Alphabet's largest acquisition to date. Alphabet's current offer is approximately one-third higher than the $23 billion deal proposed last year. Wiz had previously called off the deal in July 2024 due to concerns about potential antitrust hurdles.
