Google has updated Gemini Live with real-time camera and screen-sharing features for Gemini Advanced subscribers. Users can now let the AI assistant view their phone screen or surroundings to receive context-aware responses. A Reddit user demonstrated the screen-sharing option on a Xiaomi phone, confirming the feature isn't Pixel-exclusive. Gemini Live can describe what's on-screen or in view, such as recommending paint colors when shown a room. These updates come as Apple delays its smart Siri, widening the AI assistant gap between the two companies. The new capabilities are part of Google's multimodal AI project Project Astra. Gemini Advanced users should start seeing the features roll out globally.
