General Motors is bringing artificial intelligence into the vehicle inspection process. The automaker is making an undisclosed “strategic investment” in Israeli startup UVeye, which makes vehicle diagnostic systems that use sensors and AI to quickly identify damaged parts or maintenance issues. The investment in UVeye was made by GM Ventures, the automaker’s venture fund, which also has investments in a variety of other AI-themed startups.

Tether is set to launch a new stablecoin pegged to the British pound early next month. "We believe that the United Kingdom is the next frontier for blockchain innovation and the wider implementation of cryptocurrency for financial markets," Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino said in the statement. While Tether has several fiat-pegged stablecoins, its USD-pegged stablecoin USDT remains the most popular, although it has recently seen significant redemptions amid panic over the collapse of algorithmic stablecoin terraUSD (UST) and general market downturn.

Twitter says Notes can be read on and off Twitter by people in most countries. A small group of writers in the U.S., Canada, Ghana and the UK now have access to Notes.
Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK), the blockchain engineering firm behind the Cardano network, has released some “disappointing news,” announcing a one-month delay to the long-awaited Vasil upgrade. The Vasil upgrade is set to provide a “massive performance improvement to Cardano” and its smart contract capabilities, according to Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson. It was previously slated to go through on June 29. However, the latest estimate is now set for the last week of July.

Russian intelligence agencies have increased the pace of cyberattacks against nations that have provided aid to Ukraine, according to new research published Wednesday by Microsoft Corp., which said it had observed Moscow-backed hacking attempts in over 40 countries. FedEx will soon take photos of packages at your doorstep to provide proof of delivery. The service will be available for both FedEx Express and FedEx Ground delivery customers. The company says it will launch in select markets in the US and Canada in time for the holiday shipping season.
