Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) said on Friday that its initial investigation into a new data breach has confirmed that the incident only affected the company's test environment. HPE is investigating the incident after a hacker claimed to be selling HPE data, but emphasized that there is "no indication" that the affected data was leaked to customers or HPE production environments. BleepingComputer reported that a hacker alias "IntelBroker" claimed to have compromised HPE credentials and was attempting to sell them. According to the report, the hacker shared screenshots of the data on a hacking forum. "Based on our investigation to date, the data in question appears to be related to information contained in a test environment," HPE said.
