박 대표는 해킹을 당한 한국 기업 A와 B의 사례를 들어 설명했다. A 기업의 경우 매출 4조 이상의 글로벌 제조사로 50여개의 사이버보안 제품을 사용하고 있었지만 결국 해킹을 당해 공장 전체가 가동을 멈추는 상황을 맞이했다. 사용 중이던 사이버보안 제품 기업들에게 SOS를 했지만 선뜻 나서는 곳은 없었다. 결국 이 회사가 마지막으로 연락한 곳이 팔로알토 네트웍스 였다고. 팔로알토 네트웍스는 비록 고객사가 아니었음에도 불구하고 전문가를 파견해 해커 활동을 차단하고 데이터 복구에 성공한 것은 물론 협상팀까지 가동해 공장 정상화까지 완료했다. 이때 투입된 전문가들이 바로 유닛 42다.
