Cisco has announced that it is acquiring data and security platform company Splunk for $28 billion. This is the largest acquisition in Cisco's history, and the company plans to close the deal by the third quarter of next year. "Generative AI is transforming industries, and the combination of our two companies will drive the next generation of AI-driven security," said Chuck Robbins, CEO of Cisco.
