산부인과 의사 출신의 이혜준 대표가 이끄는 ‘카이헬스’는 지난 2021년 10월 창업 이후 그해 12월 디캠프-서울의대 창업경진대회 우승을 시작으로 지난해 5월 NIA(한국정보화진흥원) 인공지능 태아/배아 데이터셋 구축 사업 선정, 8월 팁스 선정 등의 성과를 연이어 달성하며 단숨에 유망 헬스케어 스타트업으로 부상하고 있다. 이러한 카이헬스의 기술력은 미국과 유럽의 난임학회 발표를 비롯해 최근 싱가포르 정보통신미디어개발청(IMDA)으로부터 인정을 받으며 글로벌 시장 진출의 교두보까지 마련한 상황이다.

Eight out of 10 U.S. workers are worried that artificial intelligence (AI) will reduce their wages along with the number of hours they work, according to a new survey. According to a survey of 3,000 U.S. workers by U.S. survey research firm Pollfish and recruiting firm Checkr, 79% of respondents said they are worried that AI will lead to lower wages.

Meta announced that it is developing the first custom chips for running AI models. The two unveiled chips will be integrated into Meta's proprietary AI development software, Pytorch, to power not only the Metaverse, but also generative AI tasks such as creating text, images, and video. This is the first time Meta has unveiled an in-house designed chip, demonstrating that the company is staying ahead of the generative AI curve by focusing on the development of three-dimensional virtual world metaverses and AI.

챗GPT를 한 번쯤 써봤다면 알 수 있을 테지만 사용자의 쿼리에 대한 답변을 보면 놀랍지 않을 수 없다. 인공지능이 유저들의 질문을 받아 그에 맞는 답을 해준다는 것은 측정할 수 없을 만큼의 방대한 데이터에서 답을 추출하여 내놓는다는 것인데 데이터가 많으면 많을수록 그리고 우리가 흔히 말하는 머신러닝과 딥러닝이 제대로 되어 있을수록 더 좋은 결과물을 내놓을 수 있다. 그렇다면 학습에 필요한 데이터는 어디에서 왔을까?

"AI has not yet reached the stage where it is an autonomous system that can be monitored and controlled by humans because misinformation is still a problem," he said. "We have to be careful. "Starting today, we're ending the waitlist for Bard," he said at Google's annual developer conference (I/O) at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California. Bard, an A.I. chatbot, will be available to the public in 180 countries around the world. Bard is powered by Google's latest large-scale language model (LLM), Palm 2 (PaLM). PaLM 2 is an upgraded version of PaLM 2, which was introduced in April last year, and can perform reasoning and coding tasks in science and math based on 530 billion parameters.

최근 리디북스 전자책 신간에 ‘샘 할아버지와 세 고양이의 모험’이라는 동화책이 화제가 되고 있다. 이를 쓴 작가는 13세에 불과한 고은혁 학생이다. 놀라운 점은 은혁이가 이 동화책을 챗GPT, 미드저니를 이용해 만들었다는 점이다. 디지털 네이티브(Digital Natives, 1980년에서 2000년 사이에 태어난 세대)를 넘어서는 그 이후의 세대, 이를테면 ‘인공지능 네이티브(AI Natives)’라고 할까? 인공지능, 그리고 이를 활용한 새로운 솔루션의 활용은 은혁이에게 그리 어렵지 않은 듯했다.

Advances in artificial intelligence are making the dreaded "AI revolution" a reality. U.S. computer software developer IBM said it will replace 30 percent of its non-face-to-face employees, or about 7,800 people, with artificial intelligence within five years. "In the next few years, we expect to stop hiring for roles that we believe can be replaced by AI," IBM CEO Arvind Krishna said on Monday. A number of companies, including IBM, will use AI for non-face-to-face work, Bloomberg reported.
