Nvidia’s shipments of Grace Blackwell GB200 Superchips have surged, pushing Arm CPU market share into double digits for the first time. According to market research firm Mercury Research, the overall market share of Arm-based CPUs reached 11.9% in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, a 2.3 percentage point increase from the previous quarter. Arm CPUs accounted for 13.2% of the server segment and 13.9% of the client segment. The key driver of growth in the server segment was the rapid ramp-up of Nvidia’s GB200 products. Nvidia stated that the product is experiencing the fastest market adoption in the company’s history. Major customers include Microsoft, OpenAI, and CoreWeave. In the client segment, the sharp increase in shipments of Arm processors for Chromebooks was identified as the main contributor. MediaTek and Qualcomm are particularly active in this market, with Qualcomm planning to launch its Snapdragon X Plus chips later this year.

Nvidia는 해당 제품이 자사 역사상 가장 빠른 속도로 시장에 확산되고 있다고 설명했다. 주요 고객사로는 마이크로소프트, 오픈AI, 코어위브 등이 포함된다. 클라이언트 부문에서는 크롬북에 탑재되는 Arm 프로세서 출하량이 크게 늘어난 것이 주요 원인으로 분석됐다. 특히 미디어텍과 퀄컴이 해당 시장에 기여하고 있으며, 퀄컴은 연내에 Snapdragon X Plus 칩을 출시할 예정이다.
