Stanford professor Jeremy Bailenson thinks that the metaverse will be empty as social experiences and games will come to define the space. Bailensen believes that education and work will remain the "killer apps" of virtual reality in the years to come. He also believes that the developers of the Metaverse can be conscientious about their carbon footprint.
