WhatsApp has introduced a range of new features aimed at enhancing user experience across chats, calls, and channels. In group chats, an "Online" status indicator now shows how many participants are available for conversation. Additionally, users can prioritize notifications with the new "Notify for" setting, choosing to receive alerts only for @mentions, replies, and messages from saved contacts or opting for all notifications. iPhone users benefit from the ability to scan and send documents directly within the app by selecting "scan document" in the attachment menu. They can also set WhatsApp as their default messaging and calling app and use pinch-to-zoom during video calls for better viewing. Video call technology has been upgraded to improve reliability, reduce dropped calls, and enable faster HD-quality connections. Event creation has expanded to one-on-one chats, allowing users to RSVP as "maybe," invite additional participants, set end dates and times, and pin events for easy access. Channels now support short video recordings by admins, QR code sharing for direct access, and text summaries of voice updates for convenience.
