전기차 전도사들에겐 다소 불편한 차량 신뢰성 조사 결과가 나왔다. 최근 미국 컨슈머 리포트가 수집해 조사 분석한 데이터 기반 발표 보고서에 따르면 전기차(EV)는 기존 동력방식 차량보다 신뢰성이 훨씬 떨어지는 것으로 조사됐다. 가장 신뢰성에서 앞선 것은 하이브리드카였다.

A data breach at Toyota Motor's Indian business might have exposed some customers' personal information, it said on Sunday. Toyota India said it has notified the relevant Indian authorities of the data breach at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, a joint venture with Indian conglomerate Kirloskar Group "Toyota Kirloskar Motor has been notified by one of its service providers of an incident that might have exposed personal information of some of TKM’s customers on the internet", TKM said in an emailed statement without disclosing the size of the data breach or number of customers affected.

Toyota has warned that the personal information of roughly 300,000 customers may have been exposed. The possible exposure relates to T-Connect, an official Toyota app that allows customers to connect their smartphone to their vehicle's dashboard infotainment system. A subcontractor developing the site inadvertently uploaded part of the site’s source code to a public GitHub repository in December 2017. This source code contained an access key to a server that stored customer email addresses and customer management numbers.
