Qualcomm and Facebook parent Meta have signed a multi-year agreement to use the chipmakers Snapdragon XR platform for VR and AR devices. The two companies are already working together on Meta's Quest 2 headset. Meta is pouring money into its attempts to own the metaverse, spending $10 billion in 2021 alone.

Twitter and Meta have removed an online propaganda campaign aimed at promoting US interests abroad. This is the first major covert pro-US propaganda operation taken down by the tech giants, say researchers. It is not clear who is behind the propaganda operation, but Twitter has identified the US and UK as the "presumptive countries of origin" The campaign was targeting audiences in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Teens are turning to other social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram instead of Facebook.
