테슬라, 100대 전기트럭 펩시에 12월 납품 예정

Tesla has started production on its long-awaited Semi truck. The electric transport vehicle will be delivered to Pepsi by December 1st. Pepsi ordered 100 of the vehicles in December 2017. Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the Semi will be "super fun to drive" and can reach 60mph in 20 seconds.

테슬라 AI 데이 2022 행사의 주인공은 휴머노이드 로봇 옵티머스(Optimus)이었다. 인간처럼 두 발로 균형을 잡으면서 직립보행을 하고 양팔로 각종 작업을 할 수 있는 로봇의 형태를 갖췄다. 테슬라는 옵티머스 로봇을 앞으로 3~5년 내 시판가 2만달러 정도에 일반 판매가 가능할 것으로 전망했다.

Tesla has added Airbnb co-founder, designer and billionaire Joe Gebbia as an independent member to its board of directors according to a regulatory filing out Wednesday. Gebbia left his operating role at Airbnb in July this year but remains a board member there and chairs the Airbnb.org nonprofit, which helps people displaced during times of crisis to find at least temporary housing. Gebbia’s addition to the Tesla board follows the departure of Oracle CTO and chair Larry Ellison.

Several Tesla Semi electric trucks have been spotted being shipped around the country ahead of the long-awaited start of deliveries. Tesla Semi, an all-electric class 8 truck, was unveiled back in 2017. At the time, it was supposed to come as soon as 2019. The vehicle program was delayed for years, and until recently, it wasn’t expected to go into production until 2023.

Tesla is recalling nearly 1.1 million cars in the US because the windows might close too fast and pinch people's fingers. The car giant says a software update will fix the problem. Tesla chief executive Elon Musk criticised the description as a recall calling it "outdated and inaccurate"

헤이딜러, 중고 전기차 시세 상승 발표

헤이딜러가 주요 전기차 모델의 중고차 시세를 최근 18개월 동안 분석한 결과를 26일 발표했다. 최근 18개월 동안 중고 전기차 시세가 최대 28%까지 상승했다. 반면 중고 전기차 중 그랜저는 시세가 약 10% 하락했다.

캘리포니아 배터리 저장소 화재...PG&E "화재 원인은 테슬라 배터리"

PG&E's Elkhorn Battery at Moss Landing, California, caught fire early Tuesday morning. No power outages for customers, and no injuries to on-site personnel. The fire is reminiscent of incidents involving Tesla Megapacks in Australia earlier this year. Residents near the facility were told to shelter in place due to emissions.

Tesla recently produced its ten thousandth Model Y SUV. The achievement could be good news for those hoping to buy a Cybertruck next year. The automaker initially expected to begin volume production in 2021 but then delayed it to 2022 and then 2023. The Texas Gigafactory is currently manufacturing more than 1,000 Model Y vehicles every week.

Tesla was sued on Wednesday in a proposed class action accusing Elon Musk's electric car company of misleading the public by falsely advertising its Autopilot and Full Self-Driving features. The complaint accused Tesla and Musk of having since 2016 deceptively advertised the technology as fully functioning or "just around the corner" despite knowing that the technology did not work or was nonexistent, and made vehicles unsafe.

At Tesla’s annual stockholder’s meeting, Elon Musk said he thinks the automaker could eventually build as many as 10–12 gigafactories throughout the world. The CEO also mentioned that Tesla could produce up to 20 million electric cars per year by 2030, with each factory outputting between one and a half and two million units per year.
