Rivian is laying off about 6% of its workforce as part of a restructuring plan. CEO RJ Scaringe sent an internal email to employees Wednesday. Scaringer apologized to those affected and said severance packages will be paid out in full. The company's manufacturing operations team in Normal, Illinois, will not be impacted.
