Meta has disbanded its "Responsible Artificial Intelligence department," which was dedicated to regulating safety in the development and deployment of artificial intelligence ventures, a Meta spokesperson announced. The spokesperson said most of the RAI team members have been reassigned to the company's generative AI product unit, with some personnel now working on the AI infrastructure team.
