South Korea passed legislation regulating mobile app stores and restrictions imposed on app developers dictating which payment systems they are forced to use, opening the door to alternative purchase options, allowing app developers to bypass Apple and Google's 30% commission and accept payment directly from consumers. The law also forbids store owners from delaying the approval of apps or from removing apps out of retaliation.
